"In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats." -English Proverb

Elvis, my cat, is sometimes more like a dog than a cat. He fetches (on his own terms, of course). He chews on things, like a dog with a bone. He's definitely got his own eccentricities, though. The other night, I was taking off my socks and the first one was dragged to his food dish before I could even get the second one off. By the time I got to the kitchen to fetch my own sock, he was eating his food around the sock.

He's an odd one.

So it's no surprise to me that this happened tonight.

I finally rid my 'lingerie' (& I use that term loosely-- it's mostly faded, elastic-stretched, granny under-things) drawer of old bras. In the turmoil of that, a pad from a bra got loose. It wound up on top of my bureau. Elvis discovered it tonight.

Not only is it odd that he bats it around, carries it around in his mouth, chases and fetches it, he also meows the entire time. You've really got to crank your audio to hear him, but you can. It's a bit disturbing.

The bra-pad hasn't made it to his food dish yet. He was gnawing on it like a dog-bone....
and now, apparently, he's gotten tired of it because he's napping on the couch.  I'm sure when I wake up in the morning, I'll be cleaning it out of his food (or water) dish.
