I've made it through an entire winter season without falling.....until last night. I've been so happy to not have to wear my snow boots & Yak-Trax, and to be able to wear heels the past two weeks. Then last night happened. I'm in more sensible shoes today and I hate it. I want my heels!
I took a different route last night because I needed to drop something off at the apartment office. I don't usually travel this particular sidewalk, and I've gotta say, I probably won't again until all the snow is melted and we're above freezing.
Of course, I was in my "hooker" boots, as my friend Susie calls them and was just toodling along with all of my work bags on my arm, a Diet Pepsi in my hand and what I needed to drop off in the other. "do, do, do, dee, dee, dee" watch me fall. I wiped out pretty good. Landed on my backside and my head smacked the ground. Thank God it was pitch black and I don't think anybody saw me. Nobody came rushing to my aid, so I have to assume nobody saw me, because, surely, they would have come running to help me, right?
Needless to say, not a drop of Diet Pepsi hit the ground. I know what's important.

I decided who your writing reminds me of, Erma Bombeck, that means you have to get all your writings down in a book. You could brighten so many peoples lives.
