This morning I experienced a scene directly out of the movies. The movie Arachnophobia to be precise. Remember the shower scene? That's the part of the movie I experienced. Noooo, I couldn't experience the scene out of Enough where J.Lo kicks her ex's ass. Or the scene out of It Could Happen to You when Nick Cage gives part of his lottery winnings to a waitress (how about sharing the wealth with an Exec. Church Administrator?). Or the scene out of Titanic, when Leonardo draws a naked Kate Winslet. Nope. I get spiders instead. In the shower.
And of course I didn't check the shower for insects before I got in. Nope. I noticed the monstrosity after I had already turned my back to it to shampoo my hair. I only noticed it after I turned back around to grab the body wash. Damn thing scared the shit out of me. I'm lucky I didn't have some freak shower accident, flailing my arms, grabbing onto the curtain to save my soul, only to slip, fall and suffocate myself on the damn curtain. I couldn't turn my back to the spider my entire shower. I was completely discombobulated. I'm not even sure I washed my feet. Or my armpits. Couldn't wash my face because that meant closing my eyes to the beast. That was not going to happen!
I watched it meander its way down towards the tub and finally *plop* itself in the water. Stupid spider. I quickly realized, I was sharing water with a spider. I got out of the damn shower faster than a person should ever have to move. Not even sure I rinsed.
There is now a note to myself, posted on my bathroom mirror: Check shower for spiders!
