This morning, I had garbage to dispose of on my way to my garage. Who should I see hacking up a lung while lighting a cigarette right in front of the dumpster? That's right, folks! My deaf stalker is back. No, he doesn't seem to actually be stalking me, but he does seem to be stalking our garbage.
He's a dumpster diver.
He's not even a clean dumpster diver. He literally tears open garbage bags, goes through everything, then leaves the garbage all over the dumpster. It's disgusting. It smells. And it's a little too personal for me.
This man knows what I eat, what junk mail I throw away, how often my cats puke (I hope he gets it all over himself), how often I blow my nose (again, all over himself), which toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, etc. that I use...the list goes on & on. You can tell a lot about a person from their garbage. And I know, I know. Once you dispose of your garbage (i.e. put it on the street for pick up or in my case, put it in the dumpster for pick up) it's no longer private property. It's free game for anybody.
It's still disturbing. I'm actually considering hauling my garbage somewhere else.
It just feels like there's no place that's "safe" anymore. No place that's "sacred" No place that's "private".
Well, so be it. I'm going to start hawking loogies into my garbage. Have fun with that.
