I try not to have too many deep thoughts.
That may seem contradictory after reading some of my blogs because aren't those the deepest thoughts you've ever read? Buzzzzzzzzz.
No, no they're not.
I keep my deep thoughts at bay. Those thoughts that can take you down a dangerous road. A road you don't want to go down. It doesn't help to dwell on the past. It doesn't help to dwell on what's wrong in your life right now. It does. not. help. What does help is making a change. Remember Michael Jackson's song-- Man in the Mirror? "I'm gonna make a change/ for once in my life/ It's gonna feel real good/ Gonna make a difference/ Gonna make it right".
Change. Why is change so difficult?
I'm a VERY routine person. If my routine is disrupted, I'm screwed up the entire day. I don't handle change very well unless I'm totally on board with it and fully understand it. But change is good. Change is all around us. Change happens constantly. It doesn't help to buck it. It doesn't help to fight it. We're all changing all the time. And if we're not? If we're not growing, not making ourselves better, not trying, then what's the point?
So fight whatever deep thoughts you're having right now. Fight the angst. Fight the downers. Make that change.

Amen sister! Deep thoughts may help us understand why we are the way we are. Maybe.
