"In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move." -- Douglas Adams

Did you watch the news tonight? Any television at all? Did it make you depressed? Or did you just change the channel like I did?

A Wisconsin teenager took his class hostage. Shot himself. Survived. Will have a seriously bad life.

3 boys, ages 9, 7 & 5 are missing and, I have to assume, dead.  Father is suspected, after a failed suicide attempt.

4 dead in Missouri.

Grandma threw a 2 year old over a mall walkway. Child dies. GRANDMA. THREW.

Black Friday chaos. Rudeness & civility in America.

Civility? Sorry, I think civility has fled America.

What has the world come to? Oh, sorry. What has AMERICA come to? Do you ever ask yourself this question? Do you have an answer? A solution? I do. Sterilization.  Plain & simple. If I have to get a driver's license to drive, people should have to get a license to procreate.  China had it right, but for the wrong reason. They limited 1 child per family (for awhile) because of overpopulation. How about taking it one step further?  License parents.  That's just a start. I see too many unwed mothers with 4 children from 5 different fathers (no, my math doesn't add up) on welfare and asking for a handout.....in their slippers & pajamas. Because apparently they don't have to get dressed to go out in public. It's like going to Walmart. You never know what you're going to witness.  It's a little bit scary. For pity's sake, sterilize these people. How are they allowed to continue to procreate....oh, sorry, again....have unprotected sex and 9 months later receive a welfare check for the rest of their lives?

I believe in welfare, for those who need it desparately and deserve it. Not for those who have learned to abuse and use the system.  Those people should just go to jail.

As for rudeness, I'm back to the UK and their "Antisocial Behavior Campaign" or ABC as I like to call it.  I'm ready to start my own campaign.  The "kick-your-ass-for-being-an-idiot" campaign. Are you in?

Apparently, I shouldn't watch the news. I feel like grandma. And I'm proud of that.
