"It always looks darkest just before it gets totally black." --Charlie Brown

As you can tell from my previous post, I need a new challenge in my life. I decided today, in the midst of my friend Susie moving into a new apartment and visiting other friends' homes, my new challenge is to re-do my apartment. My vision is to remove most non-essential items and start over....not necessarily with new things, maybe just less and in different arrangements.

BUT, before that, I decided to hang my pre-lit garland around my balcony banister. Of course, one strand from the previous year had burned out, so I had to purchase one new strand (I need two). Do you think the same place I've bought all of my previous pre-lit garland would carry the same dang brand? Nope. That would make my life too easy. So one strand is big white bulbs. The connecting strand is small white bulbs....that twinkle. AND the garland is a different shade of green.

My response? WGAF? Figure out the meaning yourself. Snow will fall. It will cover the varying shades of green. And the lights I'll be able to see from my living room won't twinkle, and since my opinion is the only one that counts, that's all right with me. I'm sure my neighbor across the way, who has an elaborate Christmas decorating scheme going on would disagree since she probably has to stare at it more than I do, but really, WGAF?

After that pleasant Christmas decorating experience, do you really think I wanted to tackle taking all of my decorations & nonessentials down and leaving them strewn across my floor?

No, no I didn't.

I think I'll just sit and stare at my Charlie Brown balcony.
