"Dying is a very dull, dreary affair. And my advice to you is to have nothing whatever to do with it."--W. SOMERSET MAUGHAM

Not a funny blog.

Doesn't it seem like every single month, the media reports that "this month is the deadliest month" in the 8-year "war on terror"? I'm not debating the war, but I find it curious that every month our death toll rises and now August is the deadliest month. After 8 years, shouldn't our death toll be going down? Shouldn't we be "winning"? And if we're not "winning" after 8 years, because winning to me means our death toll is nill, shouldn't we maybe consider defeat? If our death toll continues to rise, maybe we should consider getting our boys & girls the heck out of there.

Just a thought.
