So, did anybody have a heart attack reading yesterday's blog? I didn't hear of any emergencies so I assume we're all o.k. Good, glad we got that out of the way.
Can I just say, thank goodness Craig found me on OKCupid because the guys I'm getting on there are....simple. Too simple. "Hi, How are ya" doesn't cut it for me. And I'm not interested anyway.
It's Day 6 with Craig and we're both all smiles and giddy and smitten. We can't stop seeing each other.
Yeah, I know, I wonder how long this will last. We're aiming for Sunday. That'll be a true full week. Then we'll see if we still want to spend as much time together as we have been.
The true test will be this weekend when he stays over and I have to get up at 4-something to get ready for work. Will he get in my way? Will he piss me off? I can just imagine. You know me & my routine. Do. Not. Interrupt. The. Routine. And I have a feeling it's going to be interrupted.
But when I get messages like "Have a wonderful day sweetie. Yep, now you're my sweetie." and "Honey, I'm home" how can I be anything but all smiles. And that's our way of expressing how happy we are - "smiles" or "big smile" or "huge smiles".
I just can't get over how well we gel together, though I realize, we're finding out about each other in the winter when things are slower for him & his farmstead and I haven't met his kid yet (yes, he has a kid - can you believe, it doesn't even phase me?) So, we've got a long way to go from Day 6, but I'm looking forward to the ride. Literally. LOL God, I crack myself up.
You'd think, having a new man and all, that I'd be working out like a mad-woman. I. Am. So. Not. I'm doing anything but working out. I barely eat, so it isn't like I'm gaining weight, but once I start Pilates again, it's going to be hard again. I hate that. You'd also think I'd be cleaning my house non-stop to make a good impression. Look, the first time he came over, I was in my warm pajama bottoms & a sweatshirt with no makeup. The second night, I hadn't even done my hair. I'm not making any good impressions here, but apparently that doesn't matter to him. So on the cleaning front, I've been pretty lax. I did empty and clean Elvis' litter box yesterday. Pretty proud of myself that I accomplished that. Now I need to dust, and Swiffer and WetJet and clean the bathroom and tub. Geez, there's just so much to do!
Ah well, it can wait until next week.
I'm too smitten to clean house.
