"Lust is easy. Love is hard. Like is most important." ~Carl Reiner

Well, it's Facebook official. I'm in a relationship - an exclusive relationship. There have been 30+ "likes" so far. Boy, people must have thought I was in a drought and they're awfully happy for me. They're right.

I've always thought it was so stupid to put your relationship status on Facebook because then when (if) you break up, it's out there for all the world to see and you get the platitudes and "awww, that's too bad"'s. It's just so public. Who's business is it but ours?

But then I got in a relationship and I wanted everyone to know! I became one of 'them'.  I gotta be more careful that I don't turn into 'that woman' who's planning the proposal, the engagement and the wedding a year before he proposes. Ridiculous. I'd never.....

Since we each decided to post it on Facebook but not share who we're with (I don't know why we did that - I'm nervous about his friends seeing me and going, "WTH was he thinking?!?"), we're each getting a lot of comments for more information.  Well hell, I figure if you're my friend, you know what's going on. We've spoken or at least emailed each other in the last 3 weeks. A friend would know the 8 year streak has been broken. Right?

So I just ignore those comments. People can talk all they want. I love it. Gossip is so much fun in a small town. Craig's going to tell his friends he met a stripper last week and now she just won't leave so "I guess I'm in a relationship".  I asked him if I could use that, too. Like, I hired a stripped to come to the house and he just won't leave now. LOL.

Craig (jokingly) said he screwed up. He got in a relationship before Valentine's Day. Idiot. LOL. I told him I hate the holiday so he'll be lucky if he gets a card. Picking out a card takes a lot of time and effort so he should appreciate that. I think he's planning on taking me to some restaurant the night before (to beat the crowds).  See? Valentine's Day is weeks away (almost 3) and he's already planning ahead.

I got me a keeper. And I'm officially in a relationship. Gag me. *smirk*

You are too "cute" for words. I always loved Valentine's Day. I would rather have chocolate covered strawberries after that fine dinner.
