"When something is missing in your life, it usually turns out to be someone." ~Robert Brault

Today I went shopping with Mom - got everything I needed and some things I just wanted. It was fantastic to spend my own money on myself. Felt liberating!

Here's the best purchase of the day:

A robe! A nice, fluffy, put the collar up, wear around the house over my clothes - ROBE! I'm in love with it. I might wear it everywhere. It's so warm, right now I just have it draped over my shoulders! I love, love, love this thing.

I also got a bunch of other stuff - a rug for under my office chair (b/c the chair is ruining the hardwood floors), a gift for Mom (that she picked out so I know she'll LOVE it!), several long sleeve t's, and a nice, navy coat WITH A HOOD for only $18.00.  You can't beat that price on this coat. I love it. I've never owned a navy coat but I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing it a lot.

I tried to do some looking/shopping for Craig, but you really need the person there to hold things up to, try on, say whether or not they like it. So today was just all about me - as it should be all the time, am I right?

So on the shopping trip Mom throws out that Younger Brother & family are coming over for dinner tonight and Craig & I should join. I have no problem with this. I don't care if people think it's too early for the fam to meet the man. Who cares if it lasts or not? We'll have fun together; I know we will.

However, Craig may be having a panic attack.  When I first texted him about it his response was - and I quote - "What is this we stuff? Have you got a turd in your pocket? lol" which did make me LOL. He finally responded with a "K - sounds good".  HOWEVER, he just texted me "Should I be nervous?"

I understand how he's feeling. I really do. But come on. These people will probably just ignore him. If anything Mom will make him feel welcome by asking him a zillion questions about himself. Younger Brother & family will probably just ignore us. Dad will be busy playing his guitar. LOL I also told him not to worry about what to wear. I think he worries about stuff like that. I don't because I've got a closet full of clothes. He doesn't, thus the 'want' for a shopping trip. I told him to wear his work clothes. I highly doubt he will.

So, it's not even 3:00 yet and I want to see him and I even feel like shit, so that should tell you something. I feel like shit but I still want to see the man. Says a lot.
