December 25 – Photo – a present to yourself

Just one? ONE?!? That's crazy! There are too many to choose from, which is really unusual.  I try my damndest to not be in any photos.  But this year I realized I just don't care what I look like in pictures. That is who I am. I'd better get used to it because I'm stuck with it, right? So who cares if my nose is too long, I don't have a jaw or cheekbones, I have chin wattle, big boobs and a gut.  Who cares! 

So here's the first picture I chose that emulates me:

I named this picture "elite" when I saved it. That should tell you all you need to know.  Look at us. I'm yapping my jaw off, Ben's laughing, spoons & cards are on the table, and we're in M'town with cousin Emily & family.  Couldn't get better than that.  I'm pretty sure Dad took this picture....Thanks, Dad!

Then there's this picture:

It cracks me up every time I see it.  That's Josh. That's me feeling up Josh. It was my birthday. Give me a break. But look at Josh's face. It's so classic. He's like, "Dude, why is this 35 year old church worker feeling me up? *sigh* So uncomfortable. Thank God I worked out this morning".  That's typical me.  Inappropriate. Feeling people. Loving men.  Too bad Josh is about 10 years too young for me. He's buff under that t-shirt. I'm pretty sure shutter-happy Nicole took this picture. The one she took right before this one was of me feeling myself up.  I thought that might be too inappropriate. My dad reads this blog.

Maybe this is the best one because it's me & my brother, and of course, we both have devil eyes, because we're both heathens. But we're happy and we're together.  I'd be lost without my brother. Guess who took this one? Yep, shutter-happy Nicole. Thank God she carries a camera with her everywhere she goes....or not.  She's one of those people you have to be very, very careful around. She'll take photos & post them on FB.  Does this ring a bell with anyone? Miley Cyrus, perhaps? There are some things that don't need to be captured.  But I am thankful she takes as many pictures as she does. Otherwise, I'd have virtually none from this past year.
