If you ever start feeling like you have the goofiest, craziest, most dysfunctional family in the world, all you have to do is go to a state fair. Because five minutes at the fair, you'll be going, 'You know, we're alright. We are dang near royalty'. –Jeff Foxworthy

December 14 – Appreciate

What’s the one thing you have come to appreciate most in the past year? My nose hair trimmer.

How do you express gratitude for it? (Author: Victoria Klein)  I express gratitude every time I use it by saying, "God bless you, little nose hair trimmer!"

A serious answer? Hmmmmmmm. I'd have to say, this year in particular, I've come to appreciate my M'town family.  I've spent much more time there this year than I have any other year.  And I've come to find, even though we're family and we're pretty much stuck with each other-- it's a requirement that you have to love your family no matter what-- I've found that I honestly do love them; I honestly do enjoy spending time with them; I honestly am friends, not just family, with them.

My expression of gratitude is mostly through this blog. Every time I visit M'town, I blog about how great it was, how much fun it was, what a great host my Aunt Bev is, how wonderfully funny Grandma is, how much I love them all.  It never seems enough, does it? I wish I could give each of them all that they could ever want or need, to be able to show them how much I love spending time with them.  Alas, I'm poor, so all they get is this silly, silly blog.
