I used to be indecisive, now I'm not sure.

I'm a decision-maker.

I make decisions.

I'm tired of making decisions.  Just on a side note, this is why I want a man who can make decisions. Don't ask me what I want to do on a date. You asked me out. You decide.  I make decisions all freaking day. I need a break.

Why is it, it seems like I'm the only person who can make a decision? Why do people come to me for an answer?  Who am I? I'm nobody!  Can't people decide for themselves what to do?

Is this something I've done to myself? Have I scared other people into not making decisions? For example, if I had waited for someone to call me on Saturday letting me know if we needed snow removal or not, Sunday would have been a disaster....because I received no such phone call.  Why? Because the person couldn't decide whether or not to call me.  Luckily, I made the phone call to have the area plowed myself....because I'm not afraid to make a decision.  If I've scared people into not making decisions, I am sorry. So, so sorry.  And you're a pussy.

Now that's funny. If you didn't laugh right there, something is wrong with you.

It's easy for me to decide. Right & Wrong. It's that simple. But right now, I'm at a loss.  I'm indecisive.  I cannot make this decision.  What am I to do?  I don't like being the only person knowing information. It puts me in a very, very bad position.  But who do I talk to? Who can I talk to? Who isn't going to hold it against me, being the messenger? Let's face it, the messenger always gets shot, even though the saying is, "DON'T shoot the messenger".  I learned the hard way, that saying doesn't hold true.  I don't know who coined it first, but I bet they were shot right after they said it.  They're probably down in hell, shouting up to all of us, "Keep your mouth shut!  Don't say a word! It'll be held against you! I wish I hadn't said that!!!"

So, what would you do? Keep your mouth shut or speak up?  Would you speak up, knowing that you're right, even if you knew it would shine poorly upon you?  Or would you protect your own ass?

I'm leaning towards saving my own ass.....and speaking up.  There are ways to do this...It's tricky and it takes a whole different side of me to do it because all I want to say is, "Are you kidding me? This isn't right!".  BUT, I could also say, "Just an FYI....this is this..." and it comes off in a whole different way and puts the ball in their court. Leave it up to them.  Give them the information right back at 'em and let them decide what to do with it.  It's the same as "What do you think?" or "What would you do?".  There's your freaking answer.

It should not be this difficult.  Can I become a non-decision-maker?  I don't think so.  Thank God my parents raised a strong-willed, morally-righteous (how did that happen), value-filled young(?) woman.  I think it might bite me in the ass.  Ah well. At least I'll know I'm right.
