"You've got a lot of choices. If getting out of bed in the morning is a chore and you're not smiling on a regular basis, try another choice." ~Steven D. Woodhull

December 18 – Try-- What do you want to try next year? Is there something you wanted to try in 2010? What happened when you did / didn’t go for it? (Author: Kaileen Elise)

What do I want to try in 2011?  Can the question be.....What did you try in 2010?  Because that's easier to answer.  I tried dating.  Sounds like I've never dated before in my life, which is a complete falsehood, but I have to say...if you've only known me the past 4 years, you haven't seen "dating"-me.  You've seen solitary-me.  The last 4 years have been the only time in my life from the age of 13 that I wasn't dating someone or looking for someone to date or just meeting new people.  It isn't that I didn't want to date. It's just that I wasn't pushing for it. Plus, I work at a church. Try meeting a normal, single man at church. It's practically impossible.

In 2010, I did try to date. I found I may be too comfortable with my independent living. I like my life the way it is. I enjoy my life the way it is. Another person, if they don't fit, jacks that up. I can't have that. I have a tenuous grip on life as it is and any little change that disrupts that could cause me to loosen my grip.  I can't have that.  Nobody wants that to happen.  BUT, if the person does fit, Wow. How amazing!  I can't wait to meet that person....because I know I will. I might be 50 when it happens, but I can wait.  As I said, I like my life now.

So, what do I want to try in 2011?  More dating!  Just kidding...that'll happen no matter what.  What is something new I want to try? I'd like to get back into weight lifting and exercising.  That's practically a "must" with this crappy, untoned, flabby body.  But it isn't really new.  What I want to try....I can't explicitly say.  Because I have vowed to not discuss it on this blog.  But I would like to try a new atmosphere. I need a new challenge. I need a new environment. I need to break out of this rut and situation.  That's my focus for 2011.
